Terms of sale and use
Last updated October 10, 2026
These terms cover buying Purrlet and using it. They summarise the Purrlet License, which ships inside the app as LICENSE.txt; if the two ever differ, the license wins.
What you buy
- A license to use Purrlet, for $2.99 (USD, or the equivalent in your currency with tax included), paid once. There is no subscription.
- One license key activates Purrlet on up to 2 Macs that you own or control, for personal or work use. Deactivate a Mac in Settings › License to free its slot.
- Once activated, the license never needs the internet again and does not expire.
Who sells it
Dodo Payments is the merchant of record: they process the payment, issue the receipt and handle tax. The software and its license come from the author, Daniel Nebreja.
What you may not do
Purrlet is proprietary. Unless the author agrees in writing, you may not copy, redistribute, sell, rent or share Purrlet or your license key; distribute modified versions; work around its license check; or use the name “Purrlet”, its icon or the cat artwork for another product.
Your data
Purrlet keeps what it reads on your Mac. See the privacy policy for exactly what it reads and sends.
No warranty
Purrlet is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Its figures come from third-party services (Anthropic and OpenAI's Codex) and may be late, incomplete or wrong; don't rely on them where a mistake would cost you. Purrlet is not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic or OpenAI.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the author is not liable for any claim, damages or other liability arising from Purrlet or its use. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Purrlet. Nothing here limits rights you have under your local consumer law.
Refunds
See the refund policy.
Ending
The license ends automatically if you break it. When it ends, stop using Purrlet and delete your copies.
